The Partners

Vibe Architects was founded in 2010 by Jason McCarthy and Breanne Squires.

Jason McCarthy
Lead Architect
BSc (Arch) BArch (Hons) Newcastle University

Jason studied Architecture at Newcastle University, graduating with honours in 1998. Since then, he has notched up over 20 years’ experience as an architect both in Australia and overseas. Jason started his career in residential architecture and moved on to specialise in commercial and hospitality design, partnering for a number of years in a Sydney-based practice - Macnmah Architects. In 2010 Jason moved back to his former hometown Coffs Harbour and established Vibe Architects with his wife and designer, Breanne Squires.

Breanne Squires
Designer
BA (Communications), Newcastle University

Breanne also studied at Newcastle University, graduating in 1997 with a Communications degree, majoring in photography and design. She went on to work in a number of creative fields that inform her design approach, including commercial photography, visual communications and event production. Before establishing Vibe Architects with Jason she was the Communications Manager at Mixed Industry, a Sydney-based media and events company that specialised in producing large-scale youth, arts, and music festivals.
